A special event held at West Lynn Garden on Wednesday 12 August at 2pm. The Governor-General of New Zealand, Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, and our special guests visited the garden for a tree planting ceremony.
Together we celebrated our shared commitment to protecting and enhancing our environment while creating a lasting legacy for future generations.
Her Excellency's visit was the sixth time that a Governor-General of New Zealand has been welcomed to West Lynn Garden, our beautiful slice of paradise and to recognise the hard work and dedication of our volunteers who maintain and preserve this unique environment in New Lynn.
